Anyone else running a test site on Apache with HTTP Basic Auth, and having problems logging in to XF after the upgrade?

... or have any clues to what I've done wrong :) It obviously worked with the previous version, which was 2.0.

I expect TAZ to be upgraded by the time I wake up in the morning.

Move fast and break things people!

Oh wait, that's how we ended up in this facebook mess, isn't it?

Move fast and break old broken things and move quickly onto XF2.1 instead! :D

Yeah kind of what they're saying currently. I just restored a site myself because of the issue.

    Got a link? :)

[EDIT] nvm, I think we've found the info.

It's a good job nobody upgraded a live site without taking a backup first...

For early stage of beta we shouldn't upgrade even a test forum but to install a new one.

I thought it would take them 3 more months to release beta.

Beta 2 released to fix a few bugs one of which I’ll quote below as it was the main reason for the quick release.

Remember to always backup your site before doing upgrades/updates, this caught a few with their pants down!

I don't think I've seen anybody admit to it yet but with the number of people talking about having to restore I can't help but wonder if anybody was really dumb enough to update their live sites.

Sorted by upgrading to Beta 2 using the CLI: "php cmd.php xf:upgrade" :) After that I was able to log in again.

Well, it's even less likely to happen now after you've already judged them "really dumb...."

EDIT: On a more serious note, although I wouldn't do it myself, I could kind of understand someone taking the chance, based on past experience, because XF's beta releases up until this point have been all around rock solid. This is the first potentially site-breaking goof I can recall in the last several years. But a good reminder not to get complacent!

Look at your own ACP, yours should look blue, but his looks like facebook purple-blue.
