Fed up of all cleaners. Somehow the system gets infected. I think running through Linux is safe.
Avast Free is a good choice, I use it without risk. thanks.
I've used Avast and AVG Free. I personally like AVG more, but either will work great.
According to me AVG Free is a good choice.
I use it and feel good.
I use CCleaner. Friend recommended Avast, but I went with CClean, looked simpler.
Clean up "temp" files, Defragment your drives and use good antivirus. It should solve your problems.
As others have states, Avast/AVG/MSE are great options. I've used all three in the past and like MSE the most.
Agreed, but know that Linux isn't invincible.
MalwareBytes is fine for getting rid of viruses and spyware.
For general cleanup, I recommend Privacy Mantra. It's great for clearing all the gunk build-up in Windows. It's 100% free and can be found HERE.
MalwareBytes doesn't remove viruses. I've only had to remove one virus in the last 8 years and I've been using MalwareBytes for a long time, the paid version. I've never seen it remove a virus.
I have. In fact, I once saw it remove 700 infections from a laptop that was presumed dead. Worked great after that.
And I'm serious when I say this is a true story.
I suggest you to use Norton Internet Security because it will protect you from all kind of virusses, trojans, phising and it have an intregrated firewall. But it is shareware and a home computer license costs 29 euros per year.
