Yesterday I came across bodhost.com web hosting provider and got to know that this host offered HyperV VPS hosting solutions.

What is the difference between Ordinary VPS and HyperV VPS solutions?

    Any thoughts?

What are you going to use that VPS for?

It sounds like a marketing term to me.

The site says it's a hypervisor-based server virtualization technology from Microsoft. Most Linux VPS are also hypervisor based already.

HyperV just means its using HyperV technology which is more windows friendly.

All VPSes are similar in the sense that they are using similar technology. Alot of company just don't mention.

Other well known technology are VMware, XenServer, Opensource Xen, OpenVZ, Solaris Zones, etc.. etc..

I think that depends on the kind of the web sites you are going to host there.
