Oh dear.... can't say I'm surprised and thought something like this might have happened with vB.org well before now with iB changing things
The end is near.
Kinda looks like iB are closing down whatever they can to streamline things down to a bare minimum.
I suspect this news will mean vB.org will be gone soon...
I also cannot express any level of shock. This is typical IB illogical nonsense.
IB has shown a new incompetence ?
A new reason they are incapable of running the forum software that powers their business ?
In all due respect .. Life goes on ..
Pardon my French, but that seems like quite a dick move from IB.
Here I was thinking that IB must be evil cuz nobody can be that stupid. But hey, maybe they are just really, really stupid cuz nobody could be that evil.
IB has never been evil... just completely clueless as to how to properly manage the whole vBulletin product and brand...
I think you missed a few characters......
So basically a *revolt* happened after Lynne left IB employment a week previous, so IB removed her as admin from vB.org afterwards because of that out *spite*
Wait ... what
Can I have a pint of what you're drinking
Was it an unexpected move from IB?
No, it wasn't.
Paul didn't expect it.
IB has had enough of his criticism.
Very sad indeed. I remember back in the day when vBulletin.org was one of the big selling points attracting customers to purchasing vB licenses and a big part of that success was to do with the vBulletin.org staff and user contributions and the community there in general.
Maybe this means that vBulletin will become free....
Yes, because it seems most of you are now stepping down because of what happened to Lynne. I'd call that a revolt.
If IB was gonna get rid of Paul for being outspoken, they would have done so years ago. Something more must be in play here.
Besides, that's no way to talk to a TAZ staff member!
This is both nuts and a great shame to see happening.
Did you read Paul M's post on vb.org? Paul was demoted as a vb.org administrator when he left IB even though the staff positions on vb.org and IB employment have never been linked, and that is why Paul, Lynne, BirdOPrey5, MarkFL, Dismounted, and Princeton are stepping down.
