Gotta admit that I fail to understand Pinterest's raison d'être. All I know is there are 100s if not thousands of images lifted from my forum on there, very often linked to some other content scraping users on instagram or content scraping sites. What I do know is that from the experience of being served up it's useless results I learned to exclude it from any image search I might do.

Edit: I should add that I find irksome that Pinterest far too often usurps the site where the original image resides, in search results.

I suffer from the same problem as a few others. Once on Pinterest I find it difficult to leave.

Many of the photos on there are very high quality.

My forum has a Media section (XenForo Media Gallery) where concept art and game play images are posted of the game. I've found links to the images on Pinterest, so I get some exposure off it. :)

Pinterest can definitely bring some good exposure to sites, though how involved visitors then get is questionable.

I suppose the increase in traffic can't be a bad thing anyway.

Why wouldn't you focus on it? It doesn't cost a dime.

Pinterest is just another traffic channel. Another opportunity to get traffic. :einstein:

I use AddThis Image Sharing tool.
