Glad to hear you're alright! Wish I could say the same about the rest of Florida's west coast.
That whole area is hit hard, the worse is that people died, stuff can be rebuild.

Looks like different filter (color) enhancements being used on each respective photo....
Looks like the lower one has more blue enhancement to it.
The photo is raw its not edited as far as i know there are no trees on that land.
No, there are trees on the land.. they just were stripped of leaves, which would be expected with high of wind speed (think it was in the 180 MPH range).
If you notice, the more tropical "palm" trees tended to keep their leaves.
The hurricane didn't hit Barbados (love that island, been there many times) ---- your thinking of Barbuda

sandman, did you have a backup in your possession?
My power is back on now...I have a lot of debris to clear still at my mother's house (I wish my nephews would check in, but they didn't after Matthew, so I don't expect they will now either...millennials are pretty useless when there's work to be done), and I haven't even begin on mine. But other than that, all is well.
