Oh, well they waive the setup fee if you don't want the 50-50 split in hosting, so you don't have to pay the setup if you don't want the split.

    "Free" vBulletin + $150 setup fee = $150

Owned copy of vBulletin = $160

For $10 more you own the copy vs. getting it "free" from the site being discussed.

For those of you that went ahead and signed up... why?

We don't accept just anyone in our program, sign up applications that are vague in description get denied. We look for people that are serious about setting up serious forums. We have a monthly news letter for our partners that go into a detailed description of our company, our growth, our plans, etc...

We have had alot of negativity in what we are doing, but the forums that are accepted are grateful once we open real communications with them.

We can assure you we are legitimate and our program has been reviewed by vBulletin corporate before we started as we do not wish or wan to cause issues with anyone in the community. We strive to be the best in one thing, vBulletin forum community partnerships.

Just a little bit of an update to what we are doing now, we have released our newest service today. http://ads.forumdrop.com

We know it is difficult to get advertising for Forums as alot of companies do not feel organic content offer a high click through rate. We have designed and implemented our own ad network and are beginning to advertise our services.

If you have a forum and you need advertising on it stop by and sign up as a publisher.

We will have paid vBulletin forum hosting online by this months end also.

    Best...

Actually no it doesn't. If you decide to do the 50/50 ad revenue split you have to provide it for tax purposes because they will 1099 you at the end of the year just like Adsense or Commission Junction.

But Google is a supposedly "trusted" company...this company of free vB hosters aren't a major corporate giant. I would never host my forum there anyway...they throw ads everywhere... how this http://xclusivesoundstation.com/forums/ site stayed active I have no clue, but those ads are a huge eye sore. Sure throw ads everywhere, but at least make them so they don't interfere with people's forum experience.

  11. also i already have my forum - see my signature link but NO members has been around that's really disspoints me

I never said I'd give it to them. I just responded why they ask for it. And I wouldn't even give Google my SSN which is why none of my forums have Adsense on them.
