5) Template edits.LOL thanks for starting this. I do think there are a lot of great things about xenforo, but yeah; there are some things that irritate me as well. Here's a quick few off the top of my head.
1). Statistics, trophies, etc. not getting updated immediately. Yes, I understand the importance of updating in batches via cron jobs, but when someone finally decides to create their first post, it would be nice for them to be awarded that thank you trophy immediately- as opposed to them getting it minutes later- or even not noticing it until they log in again. Nice as well would be for a new member to see that they are the latest member when they join- as opposed to that being delayed as well.
2).There are some basic features that are not added by default (Most online users statistic is one that comes to mind)
3). Clicking on the member tab brings up notable members as opposed to registered members by default.
4). Not having an alphabetized list to choose from when looking for members (A,B,C, etc)
5). RSS icon in every board on the index page is a bit obnoxious- and no way to disable that without an add-on?
6). Add-ons can be confusing. It would be nice if once you install an add on, you would get redirected to the add on settings in the ACP. Not every add on has images of where the settings are in the back end, so having to go through the options trying to find the settings can be a pain.
Even with the screencaps, and support, some can still be confusing. Not everyone knows how to confirm that their slug is correct- let alone ensuring that they have added the correct php call back code.
7). Subsequent posts in topics seem bland and almost like a run on topic. Personally, every other post should be a different color (or at least separated more), so it doesn't look like one big run on of white on white.
8). Sometimes it seems that the terminology of things is different just to be different, and doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason to a newbie.
6) Not XF's fault. Some utilise the options thing in XF, others make their own brand new section somewhere in the ACP. e.g. Post Ratings has multiple sections for settings. Trophies, Steam Integration, to name a few more. That's not how the add-on installation method works afaik.
