global user group markup :cry: its been so long that we have needed that... so long

    Set display options for blocks .... {trophy}

    SEO always important!

nothing innovative but a lot that we have been asking for

The user group formatting was actually built into the code many versions back, they just never activated it.

I personally still recommend the user group formatting by All Astronauts since his is more comprehensive and covers places like the Activity Streams.

I'll never say there's no need to innovate, but when you compare core features?

IPS is one I'm ok with when they take a break to 'slightly improve'.

not knocking the lack of innovation, just playing fair

i could not be happier with ips

native push is what i want and at this point it wouldnt even be innovative anymore , it is a necessity

innovation is geoip based member alerts ... that’s the future for the majority of nitche sites thats what will carry them into the future

    Agree with both points.

And I knew you weren't knocking.

The email improvements are huge. Especially with the built in advertising! New revenue source for vendors. Just think of all the emails that get sent out from the community.

Still no text-only editor = posting is still broken on certain browsers.

    What is brave?

And here I thought I was on the fringe using Opera and Vivaldi.

Brave is a privacy-aware Android browser that fails to display the IPS editor - and the xenForo WYSIWYG one, if that matters. But at least I can turn that off.

The SEO improvements would be great as generally this is where IPB lacked.

Doing a comprehensive email solution is a big leap and step up and definitely sets it apart from the competition.

Relating to Emails .. I am pretty sure My Domain is blacklisted, I seriously think less than 50% of my bulk mail gets delivered, I've tried many things to get on the safe lists but it's not easy, made a mistake once and exported all users emails into a bulk mailing group on my server and sent a message... every time one of them replied it went to everyone ... all hell broke loose.

My site is a "sensitive" topic, at one point a couple years ago the site was not accessible to anyone within a specific region in the USA... I didn't even know that was possible but tested it over and over from proxies from that region and my site would not load. What's funny is my server is in that region so the block was only on incoming connections. Do I sound crazy?

We quickly joined the NRA Business Alliance and other Credible organizations to add legitimacy to our site and the region blocks went away

    lollllllllllll

this has happened at my company a few times when people failed to restrict large distribution lists.

never ending "reply all" avalanche of perpetual "please remove me from this distro" until someone on the tech side restricts it.

    cracks me up every time.

Exactly what happened, "Mass influx of REMOVE ME" mixed with "who the hell is this?" and each reply went to everyone
