Would you still use it?
Dunno but this person relies on it.
They're trying to show tight integration into the entire facebook ecosystem to help prevent any kind of future anti-trust dismantlement.
They aquired instagram and what'sapp partially on the premises that certain data wouldn't be shared.
They did it anyway, integrated the services tightly and happily paid the penalty fines because it was great value and well worth it to them in the long run.
Now they're prepping for any kind of government interference to try and break them up and show that that they're so tightly integrated that it wouldn't be possible.
The change isn't marketing addressed to users, it's creating an image to present to investigators who they feel may attempt to disrupt and dismantle their business and growth trajectory.
It's speeding tickets to them. Except there's no limit and no real consequences
