How long did the '100 members' milestone take you?

I put my board up on April 19th.
As of today (April 30) I have 282 registered.
My site is amateur wrestling so this is out of season.
Come November I should be well over 2000.

It took me around 2 months.

But since around 400 members, I've been getting around 15+ a day which is great.

I'm now at 814 members, and on Wednesday I had 765 so things are going good.

Only thing - not many are posting.

I didn't actually found my forum, but the old admin got hacked and decided to quit, so I set up a fresh phpBB forum and hit the 100 mark within a day. 9 months later we have about 1750 members.

I started another forum up from scratch just recently for subject matter related to my original forum, which got 100 members within 2 weeks.

My board had 112 people sign up the day I turned it on. I have been around 6 months now and have 311 members, 5219 threads, and 105,855 posts.

I got a good jump start because I was/am a SuperMod on another board that has 10,000+ members, and had been at that time an Admin on another board with about 100 active members, most of which signed up the day they heard about my board being up (I had put the word out that it was coming).

http://www.rockforums.net reached the 100 member milestone on 2 May 2005, and was started up on January 26th 2005. We were down for three weeks in february.

even without including downtime that makes it: three months and a bit.

I opened up our site and forums in August 2004. We're about to reach 100 members.

Our members have made a total of 8594 posts in 988 threads.
We currently have 92 members registered.

Hopefully, things will turn around for the better shortly.

It's been a long road, but it's been well worth it.

I'm glad I signed up here at TAZ, cause you guys have given me great ideas on promoting our forums and implementing guidelines and policies.

About 2 weeks ago I did some major SEO which has helped a lot. Increased by backlinks, etc. Hopefully Google will add my site like the others...
