No Interest How do we feel about gifs?

Ya know... I wouldn't mind these so much if they would just play once, then stop...it's the endless loop that makes me want to ignore any post that has one in it!

One of the old browsers (Mozilla? Netscape?) had an option to allow them to only play once. I kind of miss that. But the trouble was that unless it was at the top of the page you had no idea it was animated, since it had stopped by the time you got to it.

I'm an .apng myself....just a shame not to many browsers support it.

I don't mind some loops

GIFs seem kinda 'old skool' to me. They remind me of when I was first learning HTML back in the mid 90s. Back then I was fascinated by anything and everything that moved. Now I prefer everything to be static. I don't mind the ones that are subtle though...like this glass of beer.
