I figured as much as you watch your AdSense, you might have some input. :)

yeah, it needs serious design work IMO.

I installed it as a test here: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=299093
All the way at the bottom... I set it to a custom size of 728x200

From what I understand, its only purpose is to draw people to other parts of the site to increase pageviews, which isn't something forums really need to do.

Yeah I see it needs to be a bit better with handling the content in different sizes. It looks just totally wrong displaying two and a half threads in the slider.

Im wondering if this is some kind of prelude to a different ad type ---

It's quite possible. I notice the thread titles have links that start off like this:

    Code:
    http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net

Yeah -- I haven't clicked any as I couldn't find anywhere that said I could and im not risking my adsense account, so I don't know if it just links to the page or what.

scroll down on that page a little and look through your owned sites. On the far right for each site it will say approved or not approved

I don't have it either, and I get 3-5m page views on my forum a month. Strange.

I put it in the footer, got 10 million displays, and 837 clicks.

Im going to try a different size and see if that does anything.

bump - Anybody using matched content? Is it worthwhile? I'm not really sure what it does, lol, has anybody got any examples I can see? Thanks.

I have just started to use matched content (placed in ad_below_content template in XF). However, it only shows text link (as I don't have many posts with images), and it looks really ugly.

Is there a way to add some default picture/site logo so that it is visible in a nicer form? Also, is it really helpful from your experience? Thanks.
