Ghostery protects you from more trackers than any other company.
The Ghostery tracker database is the largest on the web, with more than 2,000 trackers.

If I select this ... will Ads still display ? It appears the ads still display.

Will this impact sites I visit .. ie. they wont get Google Ad money ?

    Alfa1 - what are you blocking ? Everything ?
Do you block everything and then whitelist sites you want to support ? upload_2016-8-21_17-31-3.png

They say they are helping me understand and selectively block the bad apples ... but they block 2,000 trackers. Wouldn't most people just block everything ?

Pretty big discrepancies in the accounts of what gravatar does with the info they collect.

I see Ghostery doesnt have an iphone extension for mobile chrome.
They just have an app called Ghostery that uses DuckDuckGo mobile.

    I blocked Gravatar with Ghostery.
I guess that is why I see these ?

That would be a reasonable assumption. ;)

Ironic it is made by an advertising company, though. I recommend Ublock or privacy badger if you use Firefox.

I've been using Privacy Badger and can't really complain about it.

For the benefit of others.... https://www.eff.org/privacybadger

    There's always a pop-up looming. :(
