Anyone use it ? Pretty sure it installed malware on my PC.
Did you just click next, next, install without reading anything? Were did you get it from? I don't use it myself but it known for hidden things to get installed if you don't read each screen carefully.
I used to use it and it was clean. I never had any problems with it.
Yep. A lot of free programs come bundled with toolbars and other crap, you have to be careful while installing to make sure you're not agreeing to any of that.
jdownloader pretty popular and I never had the problem with it
I've never found a download source of it that doesn't come stuffed with additional unwanted software. Some of it is bundled and can be declined but it also installs things that you can't avoid. There's a long thread about it on their forum which has been running for years.
I loved jdownloader 5 years ago.
I donated $50 because I thought the program was great.
Now, their default installer installs malware.
Google: jdownloader malware
I just use it to download
- mostly YouTube (I'll just use DreDown manually).
- a few RapidGator things.
There seem to be a number of members using it here, perhaps one of them knows of a untainted download source.
A sign I have some malware.
Not to mention the InfoLinks popups.
and the Chromium browser ? (was a clone of Chrome, but with spammy start pages, and search).
