David Pecker, the owner of the National Enquirer attempts to blackmail Jeff Bezos, Bezos fights back

Here's Jeff Bezos' (CEO of Amazon) Medium article to explain the situation on how David Pecker tried to blackmail him with nude photos taken from Jeff's phone (presumably hacked)



Mr Bezos is having none of it and has decided to publicise the blackmail attempt.

Well, that is one way to turn the tables. Esp since blackmail IS ILLEGAL.

There was a lawyer on some show last night saying it probably doesn't meet the legal definition of extortion (blackmail). The people at those tabloids often know how to word things - they step up to the legal line but don't cross it. Still scummy either way.

 

If I had Pecker as a surname - I would change it fast!

I don't know why people like keeping naked pictures of themselves on their machines...
