That works for members, but I bet guests still see them, which may be a turn off.
I cannot see them with other browsers as a guest.
Cool, neither can I, so that's a bonus.
There's an off button? Thank christ for that.
Agreed, wish I knew that from the beginning.
That sums it up for me. It's one of those functions that sounds like a good idea until you encounter it on a regular basis.
Ahhh, one of those things that looks good on paper, but actually sux in practice.
Would probably work better as something seen on hover.
I don't get all the hate. I wouldn't say I'm a huuuge fan, jury is still out either way, but it is kind of handy being able to read the blurb about a link wothout having to click on it, especially when on mobile, keeps me on the site sometimes instead of clicking out, yet I still know the jist of what the link is
I agree. I'd consider using it on some of my sites if that was an option.
I read that as Hoover as in looked better on something that sucks..
I don't get the love.
It's fine on facebook, but on a forum it just breaks up the discussion, physically. No thanks. Especially bad on mobile.
I guess there still no comment from The Sandman?
But not since then. Users can turn it off anyway, so kinda makes it a moot point anyway.
I like them... but maybe they could formatted in a better and more compact way
are they working on an edit, too?
uhmmm I think not
