A YouTube video relevant to my forum has gone viral, can I target that video with a display ad?

I haven't got any video content I can use as an ad, and I imagine video ads are expensive.

Is it possible to target the video with display ads? I can't seem to figure it out in AdWords.

Yes, we did this about 2 years ago. But we did this the other way around (which is the usual way I guess)

So play around with the demographics and try to get your app shown on this video somwhow. Should not be that hard of the video seriously goes viral. Becuase more views on a video more likely it is that your ad randomly gets in there. If you pick your demographics interests etc. right.

When your ad is shown, you will have a new option 'placements'. There are all the videos your ad was placed on. With that, you can create a new ad group and show your ad only on that video.

Maybe there is a more straightforward method - this is just the one I know worked for us (a while ago).
I am not a display ad pro, but if you need more help let me know or PM me.
