500 guests viewing the same thread?

Okay, usually I have about 60 guests on at a time. I look at the forum to see 550 odd. I thought it was strange so I checked out the 'who's online' box and they all seem to pretty muc be viewing the exact same thread...on page 2 of the section. They aren't bots so I'm pressuming this is an error of some kind???

Probably an error or glitch in the system, it's happening alot with me. And i'm using VB 3.7.2 dunno why it does it but it just does.

Hmm, it's been doing it while I was asleep as well. The thread only has 21 replies but now it has 1,900 views.

Could it have been linked to on a larger site? Digg for example?

If you have AWStats or something similar you can always check who's referring people to your site.

Maybe they were bots, just ones that aren't recognized by vBulletin?
