I am out of ideas. First I thought these are showerheads. Then I thought maybe it is a microscopic picture of somelike, like from insects. Earbuds weren't they either. Image being black and white isn't helpful aswell.

Although I've never seen these before I'm pretty sure I know what they are used for.

An alcoholic friend got a job as a driver (he didn't last long). Part of his induction was to witness the entire process from beginning to end. He explained it to me in great detail so I'm fairly sure I know where these go and to be honest they are nothing compared to other parts of the process.
