Think I can turn my reddit userbase into a forum userbase?

Hello, I haven't posted here in a while but I want to attempt to try and do this.

I really want to try and see if I can turn my reddit userbase into a forum community. The reason I think it would be valuable is because we have a community that flow through partner subreddits. Like my reddit is connected with a reddit of over 54K subscribers and another with 1.8K subs.

My personal subreddit is starting to get over 1,000 page views a month. I was thinking there has to be a way I can attract all these to my new forum. Do you think this is feasible? I can probably get help from my partner subreddits.

What is the level of engagement?

Page views mean squat when it comes to pulling them out of one site, into another, through a registration process, and getting them to come back to that separate site day after day.

Thanks for the reply, well I get different kinds of engagement. The posts that me and one of my mods make have been getting a lot of thumbs up lately and once in a while a complete newbie makes a post. I've had this particular subreddit for two years now and the activity and subscribers have been increasingly getting better.

My forum is http://stockcrash.freeforums.net/ for the time being until it least grows a little. I got 7 guests that stopped by today so that is good.
