Eclipse was a huge disappointment here...thick cloud cover and intermittent rain all day. But that's how it goes sometimes. :(

Disappointed. :( Something big and dark got in front of the sun meaning I couldn't see it.

Was the eclipse worth watching where you are fixer?

I'd have liked to have seen it :(

not really , the only part of the whole thing that i even cared about was the effect it has on plants and animals , all the birds stopped , when you live in the middle of the woods like me that is a wierd happening , actually seeing the eclipse was pretty meh tho

God, I'd have loved that.. in the middle of nowhere, sudden silence and an eclipse.. sounds like perfection to me!

We had clouds here, I was on the fence on going to MO and decided not to. My stepdaughter was in KC for the weekend and stayed for it. They had rain & clouds and then right before totality, it cleared up, then clouded over right after it.

Do they saw it, full on, and in her words "it was lit"

We were basically in the middle of nowhere, the birds started chirping, like it was the end of the day.

yeah id share more but it will just get deleted like the photo i posted
No one is stopping you from sharing :) it's just trying to keep the thread on track - we like humour, but some threads just need it less than others - there's a funny photos thread where your photos would fit perfectly!

I'd like to hear more about what the eclipse was like where you live - in the middle of the woods sounds like my dream location.

Floyd R Turbo thanks for sharing those pics! I'm so jealous.

Sadly I'm not equipped to take photos of the actual eclipse, I have a few of where we were, but still on my camera atm.

I have to dash now so I'll try and pull them off later.

Looks like fire in the sky!

I don't think the next one is until 2026 - wonder if we'll get to see that one in the UK.
