Still, I don't get why Scotty is so insistent on making sure vB die faster.

Why do you say I am insisting vB die faster? That simply isn't the case. I want IB to take a clear stance on the support for vB4. My reasons are crystal clear.

And you all can hack on my dream all you want. It doesn't bother me one bit.

It will be interesting to see what answer I get from the ticket. If it isn't the answer I am looking for, I'll most definitely escalate this too, if I have to. I'll even write Bob, if necessary.

So, any update on the ticket?

I have received a reply, but it is nothing more than what we've already been told here. Though, I will say, it was Trevor Hannant who replied and he replied in a very respectful and proper manner. On a side note, I was surprised by him replying, because I thought he left vB some time ago.

I still insisted on an official announcement from IB on their stance towards vB4's future support.

Trevor isn't the only vB people capable of making respectful and proper reply.
Paul is equally respectful to the customers - always;

So you escalated the ticket to Bobby?

FYI in discussion on the issue I was reminded that the topic title clearly limits it to VB5.

The topic title is: vBulletin 5 Connect Support Schedule Updates

So for that reason at this point no one has yet felt any further clarification is necessary. I have to say once that was pointed out to me, I felt foolish for even asking about VB3/VB4, but I'm so used to kind of ignoring a topic a title once I start reading the first post, that sets the topic in my mind. Just the way it works.

Then forget the whole discussion and let's just say I'd very much like to see a vBulletin 4 Support Schedule Update.

What?
You can't stop halfway Scotty, not until you got something from Bobby.

Wait, so a customer wanting to get a definitive answer about vB3 and vB4 support and versions is micromanaging?

So they are going to continue to get feature and security updates?
Judging from the latest Beta versions for 3 and 4, the answer would be yes. We're talking about vBulletin here, not Xenforo add ons developers who have the habit of abandoning their projects. Though slow, vBulletin will release them eventually.

What new features did they get in the betas?
