How are you liking the new bd Widget System?

I am really liking the front end Layout Editor. Its a big step.

Previously I found bd widgets annoying at times because it was hard to get a complex page in the order I wanted. Somehow it always went back to a random order. With the new version 2.6 this is resolved.

It also has a front end grid editor which is a major enhancement IMHO.

  • I can use built in XF Conditional now

Everything on the older version works very well for me for now. I am going to let you beta test it for a while. Thank you for your efforts. :) :p

I love the 2.6.x version of the framework but actually did not care for using the layout editor and prefer to configure their display order and layout directly using the settings on each widget's configuration settings.

I upgraded last night and was having trouble with the drag and drop ordering. Everything kept trying to go side by side rather that aligned vertically. It is a nice upgrade though.

Side note, why is it only posted on his site and not on xenforo?

I think it's because it is beta combined with the fact that you have to purchase a product pack in order to get support directly on his site. Unfortunately the last time I looked, BD Widgets is not in his product list yet though.

I was trying to log in like it was the XenForo website xD

Damn same theme.

I've been using it since he put up for download a couple weeks ago.

Only real annoyance for me is the online users list header title is no longer a link to who's online page. Other than that it works well.

Easily fixed.

Go to Edit Widgets, edit your Online Users one and change the Title to wrap the url around it:-

Obviously, changing the url to suit your site :)
