You will see when the beta is released, unless you were one of us that we're bothered to be on the alpha/beta team.

Actually the release of 5.2.0 could be a great and much more positive milestone in IB's history with vB. They could start communicating with their customers much, much better. They could bring back the A/B team, and actually listen to their feedback and take it into serious account, like actually use it. They could get some buzz going on some of the new features with dev blog posts, or "How-To" videos, or just a similar "HYS" section in the forum like XF does. They could make some decent documentation. They could release a beta, with only a few, if at all, serious bugs and be able to release the final version with basically no serious bugs.

Phew....ok. Asking for vB5.2.0 in 6 months (and it actually be worth a major point version) is already a lot to ask for. But all of the above too?

Hmm.......let's pick out the right smilies for my current frame of mind on that. :eek::rolleyes::cautious::ROFLMAO:

Why do people feel the need to go anonymous when asking Scotty about Skooppa?

This is the first time I've seen, so bringen in "other people" into this isn't really fair. It seems to be only one person.

Why do you feel the need to troll the place?

It isn't trolling. It is a legitimate question, albeit too generalized IMHO. It would have been better directed at you personally. Why did you go anonymous to ask the question? If you ask me, going anonymous it being more a troll than what Vice just did. Sorry to step on your toes like that. But, there really is no reason to go anonymous. I have nothing to hide. You shouldn't either. :)

I just assume that this anon and that anon on another thread are two different people (based upon language style) but his reply to me here narrow down the suspects significantly. Must be one of the few people here who throw around the word "troll" incessantly.

Ah, ok. So you mean in general, why do people go anonymous to ask any questions? And I agree with the sentiment. In the forums I own, I never allow that kind of behavior. My opinion is, either you have the balls to ask in person, in public or if it bothers you to ask in public, then go private in a PM, but most definitely, you should always stay yourself.

I think they can and reading the thread it will most likely happen. That said another question is whether it will be a decent product or not? My thoughts are it might be, highly doubt it, especially since all the recent issues they have had.

If 5.2.0 is a vB milestone then not a chance. Not once has vB released anything that has worked, the first time, since the vB4 fiasco/joke.

No, I'm talking about specific.
There's another anon asking you about Skooppa yesterday;

Ahhh.... somehow I missed that one being from anonymous completely. I guess I was too interested in giving a proper answer (though not one I wanted to give). Now I understand your question better. Thanks.

Not really, Ed had done very little on vB5 in the last year.
He looked after (and worked on) cloud, the only time he worked on vB5 was if some core changes were needed for cloud.

Interesting. So, he worked more on the automation part of the cloud offering I would presume. Does that mean only two devs were working on vB5?
