Forums, Youtube and maybe Reddit for me.

Twitter is tolerable when I'm really bored. Facebook I can't stand at all. And anything else? Oh please, they seem to be targeting a generation I have pretty much nothing in common with.

Facebook is more about adding friends and family and posting stuff on it to keep each other updated with latest going ons (gossip)

My favourite social network would have to be Instagram. But I definitely use Facebook the most. I enjoyed G+ for quite a while, but ended up leaving because none of my friends were posting things. Wish Google stuck at it a little bit more.

Kinda ironic because I love the concept of Google+
I think where they failed was at the drawing board of intention. Their main goal was not to introduce a usable and popular social networking platform to the masses. It seems to me their goal was to suck up all of Facebook & Twitters users (and via proxy - their ad revenue), monopolizing the social networking stratosphere as they have done with their search engine. When they realized that such a thing would be nearly impossible = they gave up. If the goal was to be a substantial owner of the social network userbase - - Google COULD possibly own it. That was never their intention with Google+ though IMO.

I use mostly Twitter to keep up with current trends and follow real time news; but in general I hate social networks, I think they're a huge waste of time unless you're doing business with them (Facebook bought me my current car ;)).

Behance. I think that the interface and lack of spam make it a great place to share art projects of any type.

I definitely agree.

When thinking about it, I don't think I have ever been as intrigued about the content as I have on Google+. I think it was very similar to a forum in a lot of ways. They spent so long trying to tell the public it wasn't made to be a social network, instead a profile for all of the Google products. When really, maybe they should have treated it more like one.

Mind you in saying that, Google+ basically had the entire photography niche in their pockets (and maybe still does??), but let Instagram slip into the hands of Facebook. So maybe it is true that Google just doesn't understand social. Or at least doesn't think it is important enough.

Facebook will always be my favorite social media account, but I'm still disappointed with the fact that friendster today is plainly an online gaming site, like oh come on I failed to copy all the pictures that I have way back then. Oh well atleast we have facebook it became easier for us to know more on what is the latest trend on technology, also the chat conversation that's my favorite.

Personally, it's Facebook and Instagram. I have many people there and I appreciate the action they take there. I also found tons of useful information there.

Many say that social networks are a waste of time or, worse, are "evil" (out of curiosity, I've read some articles about studies that have been made on teens or adults, and the results are almost always the same: social networks are evil).

However, if you know how to use them, social networks can turn out to be a pretty powerful tool!
I first signed up on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and others with the intention of socializing with family &friends, but I always end up using Skype to talk to the important people in my life or I often prefer sending an email!
But if we talk marketing, that's a totally different story! I'd say Facebook works well in my favor, I managed to gain quite some fans using it.

I hate FB but tolerate it enough to use it because alot of friends and family do, but other than that none. Unless forums are classed of Social Network now.
