I like it!

Although the old one has been iconic for some time, I like the new refreshed font.

I don't think it looks very good. Especially the E at the end.

Changes like this are non-news. I'm disturbed Google even bothered to make a post about it, and yet the tech press is pooping itself over it.

It's rather bland and flat which brings it in line with what everyone else seems to be doing these days. I can't say I'm overwhelmed but there's much nothing to dislike so I don't know... it's all a bit 'meh' and that's probably the first and last time I'll use that in any sentence but it seems an apt description :D

Huh? Anyone who is serious about their site cares what Google thinks.

I think calling it a new logo is a stretch.

Slightly changing the font and pressing control+b to bold it .... isn't really "new".
IMO.

The font has been changed to what looks like a slightly manipulated, bold Century Gothic:

G o o g l e

With the "e" inverted. It's a more modern font. A "new" design? I'd call that a bit of a stretch. I'd call it a "logo revision" actually.
The new font looks better IMO - it's more professional looking and the inverted "e" gives it a bit of character.

The new favicon is really nice though. The "G" with each of Google's colors in it:

Kinda nice.

I guess they did it in-house but I'm curious to know how much they paid for it if they didn't.

I'm going to have to say quite the opposite, but the old one wasn't very good either.
The font is more "professional" font. The other may as well had curly ques or something LOL.
IDK - I think the debate is Century Gothic vs. Georgia fonts:

G o o g l e
vs.
G o o g l e

I think Century Gothic is the more "professional" looking of the two.
As they say though - Opinions are like...... aimageup.jacquiidesigns.com_di_MTEG.gif
