Looks like they dont accept forums ?

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before...I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

My forum primarily deals with car audio and other audio related stuff. In order to help with costs, I tried getting set up with Amazon Associates program. After a few days, I got this message

Hello,

The Amazon.com Associates program cannot be used in conjunction with any online forum sites. Because of this, I am not able to approve your application.

If you have another website, you are welcome to submit another application by using the following URL:

http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join

We hope to see you again soon.

Does anybody else use this or any other affiliate program with Amazon?
Do I need a CMS section or Blog to be considered a candidate for selection?
Is there something that I'm missing?

Thanks

Been averaging over $100/day on Amazon CPM but starting late on Tuesday, they are reporting no revenue and I cant get an answer from them whether it's reporting errors or if my domain is banned.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Yesterday mine said something like "We apologize for reporting issues and are working to fix this" (paraphrased). Today that message is gone. My revenue is down but still coming in.

Did you see any unusual increase in certain ad tag requests? I have two random ones that show millions of requests per day. I still have zero communication from Amazon CPM whether this is on their end or I'm suspended but all numbers except revenue keep coming in, leading me to assume the worse.

You have to sign up for the Amazon Associates program, and then you log into your account there and see if there is a tab for "Amazon CPM Ads". As far as I know, either it's there or it isn't, ie invite only without anyplace to sign up.
I don't see it :/

Hey guys any updates? A few of you were earning quite well were curious if you still are or how others are doing?

I've just been pushing it out on our forums. In a month or few weeks I'll see better results I suppose from what I hear.

I got most mine at .40 cents since most people in this thread made it seem like most the time you'd get more anyways. Which is true. Been getting like average .55. Basically everyone is diff, gotta play with it alot. I went cheaper because I wantd to get my fill rate up. My passback is a google adsense banner so with that you can get your average crm over there and use that as your cpm on amazon. Unless you arent using adsense in that place.

my site gets a lot of pageviews per month. (millions) so I thought this would be monumental but I think since its Amazon USA it might be smart enough to do some type of geo IP thing. As my audience is global so only maybe 40% are from USA. Cause the pageviews arent adding up to what i see in analytics and other tracking services. So my guess is that is why.

Let me know how it does for you.
I'm only averaging like $75 a week. Wonder if the guys who were doing better are still doing their previous numbers or if AMZ better fine tuned it since beginning. As I just set ours up 2 weeks ago.

Sounds good. I also heard/read that you gotta run this for like a month to really see results. So I'm working on that but so far been pretty consistent. But, point being if truth to that don't give up early.

btw, for sake of thread history my adsense earnings haven't dropped. However 90% of the spots I put AMZ CPM and adsense passback I never had adsense there before anyways.
