Fading.
The proof is in the pudding.
It tastes sour.
Hmmm. You don't seem to be fully understanding what I'm saying.

How can I put this in a way that you will understand?

Ah....I think I know a way......

Understandable, would be nice to see the new color on them, though and/or a custom user title with it. :p
Again, not really sure whether there's any relevance. Why would someone need a custom user title because they have an XF licence?

That's because you don't want to.

I can see the hostile part, I see it at XF and vB sometimes.
YES.

On XenForo there was a small minority, though very vocal, who appeared to be allowed to attack people and even make slanderous and liable comments. This action appeared to be approved because any counter response in defense lead to the victim being punished and further if you ignored the on going attack, the attacker would continue their attack, appearing to be left unchecked as said comments were not removed or edited even when reported.

Speaking from my own personal experience, you could not say 'boo' in your own self-defense against such an attack, without your comment being removed, edited, or punished, yet the attackers were seemingly allowed to have their comments untouched and allowed to continue.

Which really is a shame, because I like to think I was a very vocal supporter of the xenforo development and while their software is competitive; I found in the end their moral and ethics to be severely lacking and needs much improvement.

The Sandman (Howard) runs a fairly good site here on TAZ. Publicly, there appears at this time to be no such one sided communication or ruling. And if someone does make an attack you can report it or even respond to your own self-defense. Now there are sometimes limits, but overall most of the time I see things being fair here on TAZ. :)

There has been one or two times when I wanted to be a little more vocal and a little more clear and not so "diplomatic" with my replies. But overall, I can respect that at least here on a 3rd party site, there is some resemblance of an equal opportunity. I and others are allowed within reason to defend ourselves, when the need is presented. And I thank The Sandman for that. :)

makes sense to have some sort of license validation to access the resources
That i can agree with, the banner i feel is a bit unnecessary. Why not just make it a subgroup where only licensed users have access to it without branding anyone with the banner(and isolating any other users).

Not exactly. :)

What you can see is that at some point, people had access to a valid access token which they then input here. There isnt anything to prove it was your licence and not someone elses code you "borrowed". There was a question above about what happens if you sell your licence, but it wasnt actually answered.

Not only that but everyone can regenerate their token, I normally regenerate my token every time i submit it to a forum like this or premium plugin site which require authentication, by regenerating it.....it invalidates the tokens ive submitted all over the web.

Its currently a bit of a gimmick but If its true that the validation of the licence is going to be changed to periodically then there would have to be some pretty good reasons to continue to validate at a site other than a little banner in the postbit, you could be resubmitting the validation to 20+ sites/forums every cycle if you frequented them enough.

Even So.....................Thanks for the little postbit plaque :D

Sometimes (in fact MOST times) it's just as easy (and better) to be the bigger man, shut your mouth and not reply to what you see as provocation.
Not always. How's the old saying go...

"Say a lie enough times and it will be believed"

Sometimes not responding is just as bad. And when things are left unchecked for an extended period of time and repeated over and over... You either have to defend yourself or someone of authority needs to intervene. I was wrongfully denied both.

So many banners o_O

I'm sure this will start a chain reaction of other users wanting WBB banner, VB banner, IPB banner, phpbb banner, SMF banner, etc....

I like the idea, but soon you are going to have a 13" long postbit.

There would be no need in having phpbb banner, smf banner etc because those are free softwares. This banner indicates that we are using a valid Xf License. I can see your point with VB and IPB though.
