Hi,

Last night for the first time my hosting went from 2 cpus to 3. Siteground sent me an email saying that I would need to pay for the additional cpu - 10 dollars - or after the 48 hour grace period the server would scale back to 2 cpus. Is this the norm in the industry? I am lost as to why it scaled up, because according to stats I did not see a spike in traffic. Would you just let the server scale back to two cpus - where it has been running for the last year?

Thanks,
William

Correction.... . I set up a second website on my server. That site was seeing a spike in what appears as bots trying to register accounts. I deleted that site since it was a project I lost interest in. I redirected the domain it had to my main site. I'll monitor the situation - having the auto scale set up to add additional cpus when the current cpus are reaching 90% threshold. Same with the Ram.
